Delete Your Account & Data
Overview
You have the right to request deletion of your Light Music account and all personal data we hold about you. This page explains exactly what gets removed, what (if anything) we are required to retain, and how to submit your request.
What gets deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we remove:
- Your Firebase Authentication account (email address, display name, sign-in credentials)
- Your Firestore user document —
users/{uid} - All liked tracks stored under your account —
users/{uid}/liked_tracks/** - Any playlists you created
- Your account role and any admin permissions
Locally cached files (offline downloads) stored on your device are not accessible to us — delete those directly from the app's Download settings before uninstalling.
What we keep
We do not retain your personal information after deletion. The only data that persists is anonymous, non-identifiable:
- Aggregate crash and error logs that do not contain personally identifiable information
- Music catalogue content (tracks, cover art) uploaded by admins — this is not your personal data
Timeline
- We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days
- Deletion will be completed within 30 days of your request
- We will send a confirmation email once deletion is complete
How to request deletion
Send an email to info@ampliq.co.za with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Include the following details so we can locate and verify your account:
- The email address linked to your Light Music account
- Whether you signed in with email/password or Google Sign-In
- A brief statement confirming you want all associated data removed
